Quincy’s Wish

In honor of her life, the Quincy Lee Foundation was created to pursue Quincy’s wish that “all kids with cancer can be all better.” Numerous meetings were held with Quincy’s oncologist, Dr. Kate Matthay, Chief of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology at UCSF, as to how the Quincy Lee Foundation could have the greatest impact on her wish. From these discussions, a research fellowship was conceived. This fellowship will provide advanced training for doctors in pediatric cancer at the UCSF Children’s Cancer Program, and support pioneering research that can lead to larger studies, clinical trials and improved methods of protocol, ultimately producing breakthroughs in diagnosis and treatment of pediatric cancer.

Quincy Lee Foundations's Quest

The Quincy Lee Foundation’s fundraising mission is two-fold. Our long term goal is to fund a research fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. Although this is lofty quest, we are committed to make this a reality. This fellowship will, in perpetuity, provide the Children’s Cancer Program with a significant and ever growing resource of knowledge to advance the understanding and treatment of pediatric cancer. In addition, we are dedicated to helping pediatric cancer patients today! The foundation works hand in hand with Child Life Specialists, Palliative Care Programs, Nurses and Social Workers at UCSF to provide items and experiences of comfort to pediatric patients and their families. It is our hope to ease the stress of cancer treatments. Our fundraising mission will enable Quincy’s wish to come true by not only making the life of a child with cancer a better one, but also by having a lasting impact on the fight against children’s cancer around the world!.
